Fennel is one of my favourite flowers in the cutting garden in August and September - it towers above everything else and smells wonderful in the rain.
The design of this mirror is based on my sketches. The top is cream velvet with freenhand machine embroidery. 6cm diameter.

As soon as we get to June, the meadow beneath the cutting garden turns into a mass of thistles. Though in theory we attempt to get rid of them, in reality I admire their resilience and beauty. the design is based on my sketches of this prickly plant.

The design on this mirror is based on sketches of my oldest hen, a black Maran called Peblo. She is a bit of a vagrant, refusing to bed down with the others and raising lots of chicks who wander round the garden.
The mirror is freehand machine embroidery on velvet. It is 6cm diameter.
